Grand Haven: Steelhead and immature Chinook salmon were caught 40 to 120 down in 140 to 220 feet of water. Spoons in green and orange seemed to work well. Pier anglers casting for salmon found the action to be slow.
Muskegon: Boat anglers found a few steelhead and immature Chinook salmon 40 to 100 down in 140 to 200 feet of water. Orange spoons and white flasher fly combinations worked well. Salmon action was slow for anglers trolling the near the break walls and in the channel. Pier anglers casting for salmon were unsuccessful.
