Southwest Lower Peninsula

Muskegon: Boat anglers found the salmon action to be slow, with most Chinook salmon caught being small in size. The best action was from 60-120 feet of water, and spoons in green and orange were reported to have worked best. Pier anglers did well casting spoons for freshwater drum.
Grand Haven: Salmon action was very slow for boat anglers. Anglers found a few small Chinook salmon and steelhead in 50-90 feet of water, with orange spoons working best. Pier anglers reported catching a few steelhead on shrimp. Good numbers of freshwater drum were also caught by casting spoons.
