Muskegon: Salmon were caught 30 to 90 feet down in 70 to 130 feet of water. Orange spoons and white flasher/fly combinations were reported to have worked well. Pier anglers were catching a few freshwater drum when casting spoons or crankbaits.

Grand Haven: Boat anglers were finding a fair number of salmon 30 to 90 down in 90 to 130 feet of water. Quality-sized Chinook salmon were caught on green meat rigs and white flasher/fly combinations, with orange and green spoons also being productive. Pier anglers were catching a few steelhead on shrimp and alewives. A couple freshwater drum were caught while casting spoons in the channel.
